Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how The Market Lexicon ("we," "us," or "the platform") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and services, including our market analytics tools, visual strategy builder, backtesting engine, and exchange account connections (collectively, the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

Account information. When you register, we collect your email address, a hashed password, and optionally a display name and username.

Exchange account credentials. If you connect a WEEX account (via OAuth or by entering an API key, secret, and passphrase directly), we store those credentials encrypted at rest. We use them only to execute the trading actions your strategies are configured to perform, and to read account/market data necessary for the Service to function.

Strategy and trading data. This includes the visual strategy graphs you build, their configuration parameters, backtest results, live execution history, alerts, and logs.

Payment information. Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details ourselves: Stripe provides us with limited billing metadata (plan, status, renewal date) needed to manage your subscription.

Usage and analytics data. We collect information about how you interact with the Service (pages visited, features used, session duration) via analytics tooling, to help us understand and improve the product. This only happens if you are signed in; we do not track visitors who are not logged in. You choose whether this usage is linked to your account or recorded under a pseudonymous identifier that carries no name or email. You can change this choice at any time in Settings, Privacy.

Communications. If you contact support, we retain the content of that correspondence.

• To provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including compiling and executing your strategies, running backtests, and placing trades on your behalf through your connected exchange account.
• To process subscription payments and manage your billing.
• To communicate with you about your account, service updates, or support requests.
• To monitor, secure, and improve the Service, including detecting abuse or technical issues.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information with the following categories of third parties, only as necessary to provide the Service:

• WEEX: when you connect an exchange account, we communicate with WEEX's API to authenticate your account, read market/account data, and place orders your strategies generate. WEEX processes this data under its own privacy policy.
• Stripe: for subscription billing and payment processing.
• AI model providers: if your strategy uses an AI node (Score, Classify, Predicate, or Signal) with TML Fast (the default, included model option), the connected input and your Instruction are sent to TypeSafe, reached through OpenRouter, to generate a response. If you configure a custom provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, or Groq) instead, the same connected input and Instruction are sent to that provider using your own connected API key. Older AI nodes still used in some existing strategies (LLM Score, LLM Classify, LLM Signal, News Summarizer, On-Chain Analyst) also send relevant market data (candles, fundamentals, and social metrics) along with their prompt. We do not send your account credentials, email, or other personal information to these providers as part of this process, and we make no claims about how a third-party provider retains or uses data it receives.
• Analytics providers: we use PostHog, hosted in the European Union, for product analytics. Analytics only runs while you are signed in. If you choose to link usage to your account, PostHog receives your account identifier and basic profile details (such as your email, name, and plan). If you do not, your usage is recorded under a pseudonymous identifier that does not include your name or email. You can change this choice at any time in Settings, Privacy.
• Legal and safety: we may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of The Market Lexicon, our users, or others.

Exchange API credentials are encrypted at rest. All traffic between your browser and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access to production data is restricted to personnel who need it to operate the Service. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain account and strategy data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, tax, or security purposes (for example, records needed to investigate fraud or abuse).

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. You can disconnect an exchange account or delete your account at any time from your account settings.

The Service is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, individuals under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own. Where required, we take steps intended to ensure an adequate level of protection for information transferred internationally.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and for material changes we will make reasonable efforts to notify you.
